Applied Practice
Developing Fundamental Movement Skills
Build the movement foundations of children and youth through developmentally-appropriate, play-based physical activity.
Hybrid — virtual + practical workshops
A population-specific certification for supporting safe, positive and developmentally-appropriate movement for children and young people. Because children aren’t small adults — youth movement requires understanding growth, development, motor learning and psychosocial factors.
This course equips practitioners to support safe, positive and developmentally-appropriate movement experiences for children and young people. The focus is on building competence, confidence and enjoyment of movement — not early specialisation or performance-driven training.
You will learn to understand key stages of motor development, design sessions that build coordination and confidence, support injury prevention in youth activity, and create positive movement experiences for young people.
It does not prepare participants for clinical paediatric therapy, elite or high-performance youth sport specialisation, talent identification or early-specialisation coaching.
Awarded on completion: E3 Certified – Applied Practice (Children & Youth Movement). Exemptions from prerequisites may be considered only through formal review, in line with E3Sports’ exemption policy.
